 Harrods Creek Fire-Rescue

  Unit 1235

With a focus on safety, ergonomics and commonality, 1233 & 1235 have been thoughtfully designed through thousands of hours of work by the Harrods Creek FD Apparatus Committee and John Neubaure, the project manager at 3D Manufacturing.

Except for a few minor differences, these units are twins, even though they were delivered two years apart.  Both pumpers (and 1257) have a Waterous World Pump.  The World Pump is a research and development pump that the Waterous Company and HCFD have partnered to study the use of light weight alloys and European design features.  This pump and manifold weigh nearly 800 lbs. less than a traditional midship pump  World Pump

pump panel     Unique to these two units is the top mounted pump panel, which allows for the apparatus operator to have the ability to see and have access to either side of the truck.   The front bumper mounted attack line and trash line have proven their usefulness for car fires and other incidents.  A Physio-Control Semi Automatic Defibrillator and other medical equipment are carried for EMS runs.

Both apparatus are equipped with a full set of Holmatro Rescue Tools, which include spreaders, a small and a large ram, a come-a-long, and cribbing.  Unit 1233 is the first piece to respond from station two and 1235 is the first to respond from station one on most runs.  Units 1233 and 1235 represent many long hours and a lot of pride for the Harrods Creek Fire Department and the community. rescue tools
